Dr. Donna Hein is certified and holds a Fellowship in Veterinary Acupuncture and practices in Northwest Houston. Your companion may suffer from arthritis, a sore back, disc disease, hip dysplasia, or certain diseases such as but not limited to kidney, liver, or Cushing's Disease. Dr. Hein will professionally care for your pet dog, cat, exotic or horse with the appropriate acupuncture technique in the convenience and comfort of your home. Dr. Hein is certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCVM) which includes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Food Therapy and Tuina. Dr. Hein included Veterinary Medical Manipulation as her newest "tool" in her "tool box". Dr. Hein also has a thermal imaging unit (the only one in the Houston area) to locate pain, inflammation and/or denervation. Dr. Hein also can provide ozone therapy in different ways when indicated.

Because our pets can not tell us where it hurts, I use a thermal imaging unit to help me see the areas of pain. This allows me to pinpoint the area or areas needed for acupuncture. Also, if your pet is too risky to go under anesthesia for certain diagnostic procedures such as MRI, this tool will help locate areas of treatment needed for acupuncture.
